Types Of Membership
Membership to ICEVI Africa is free. There are three types of membership, namely:
- Ordinary Membership
- Corporate Membership
- Honorary Membership
Ordinary Membership: This type of membership is open to all individuals who have an interest in promoting the rights of people with visual impairment in Africa to education and inclusion. They include educationalists, researchers, policy-makers, government officials, human rights activists, students, service providers, parents, education support workers, etc.
Corporate Membership: Corporate Membership is open to any association, institution or business that is interested in supporting and furthering the aims and objectives of ICEVI Africa.
Honorary Membership: ICEVI Africa awards Honorary Membership to any person or corporate body whom it wishes to honour for outstanding services to the promotion of education of people with visual impairment in Africa. A Honorary Member is proposed by an Ordinary or a Corporate Member and is awarded Honorary Membership by the General Meeting of ICEBVI Africa. Ordinary or Corporate members can be nominated as Honorary Members and upon approval, will be ushered into Honorary Membership. Serving members of the Board of Directors or staff of ICEVI Africa may not be nominated as Honorary Members.
